Welcome
You are welcome here.
It’s been a long week. Sundays provide life-giving rhythms to recalibrate our souls. We gather as imperfect people, who make mistakes, who have stories we might prefer to keep hidden, but who ultimately long for rest.
We don’t do it perfectly, but it’s our aim to come together for intentional and purposeful worship. Find beauty and meaning with us through the richness of what we sing, confess, pray, and hear. Explore with us our deepest belonging found in the Gospel Story.
This is a church where children are known and loved.
Your kids are not too loud, they are allowed to be themselves. Their presence, voices, and needs are important and valued here in our community.
We partner with parents by teaching children the Bible in a safe and fun environment where the Story of the Gospel plants seeds for all of life. Our children and students are vital members of our community. And it’s our aim to create a culture of grace for our children to grow and for our students to ask questions and to find true belonging in the transforming safety of our Gospel community.
Plan Your Visit
01 Look up directions.
We meet at 10:00am on Sundays at our church’s building and worship space:
4098 Calle Tesoro, Suite D, Camarillo, CA 93012
Let us know you’re coming by filling out a connect card, and we’ll look out for you!
02 Find a parking spot.
Our building is located on the corner of Calle Tesoro and Calle Suerte. We have signs on Flynn Rd. and Calle Tesoro. If you follow our signs, you’ll be lead to a parking spot near to where we are located. You can park in the lot or on the street adjacent to our building.
03 Meet our greeters.
Our greeters will be at the entrance of the walkway to our building next to the parking lot. They’ll greet you with a smile, a worship folder, and any answers to questions you might have about Sunday with us.
04 Check in your children.
We have classes offered for our infants and toddlers from check-ins before the worship service to the end of the sermon, along with classes for kids (K-5) during our sermon time on the second, third, fourth, and fifth Sundays of the month. Check in your children at our welcome booth and take a tour of our classrooms. Then, make yourself at home, and we’ll come find you!
What are Sundays like?
Our Sunday worship services are somewhere between traditional and contemporary. They have a liturgical structure but with an informal atmosphere. Our services run about 1 hour and 30 minutes in length, and we celebrate the Lord’s Supper weekly. Expect some standing and sitting, singing and praying, Scripture reading and reflecting, greeting and communion. No church is for everyone, but here, we have an atmosphere that is accessible for many. More than anything else, our aim is to provide an atmosphere of grace and Gospel reprieve, as we come to celebrate our forgiveness in Christ.
Every First Sunday of the month, we enjoy what we refer to as covenant worship. This is where we gather together through all ages in one worship service. Our First Sundays are also when we share a community lunch together after the worship service, where we’d love for you to join us.
On the First Sunday of every month, we enjoy lunch fellowship after Sunday worship service. On the other Sundays of the months, we provide snacks to encourage a time of welcome and communing. We’d love for you to join us each week after our worship service.
We have Community Groups that gather together throughout the week. Each group has its own location, day, time, and frequency of gathering. If you’re interested in joining a Community Group, click here to contact Pastor Jon to find a group that will fit for you.
What are our community rhythms?
What’s provided for children and students?
We love our children here at Christ Our Redeemer. They are welcome and valued both in presence and participation. Every first Sunday of the month, we enjoy what we refer to as covenant worship. This is where we gather together through all ages in one worship service. Our first Sundays are also when we share a community lunch together after the worship service, where we’d love for you to join us. On the other Sundays (second, third, fourth, and fifth) of the month, we offer our Nursery and Kids classes during portions of our worship service. You’ll check in your children for classes at our welcome station right when you come through our doors. You’re also more than welcome to keep your children with you throughout the worship service, if that’s your desire.
We offer two classes for our Nursery classes — one for infants and one for toddlers. Our Nursery classes will provide a time for fun, singing, and simple stories from check-ins before the worship service to the end of the sermon. Some of our favorite reads include The Jesus Storybook Bible, The Biggest Story ABC and What Are Eyes For? Our Kids classes are currently using The Biggest Story as a curriculum to guide their time of age-appropriate learning. For more information and additional questions, please reach out to Pastor Jon here.
Our students (grades 6+) stay with the adults for worship service on Sundays. We encourage our students to be a part of our community life and serve as active members of our community.
