LEAD PASTOR, TEACHING ELDER

Ever since he was a child, Sun has always had a deep love for story. Whether it was crafting his own or traversing into others, Sun’s wild imagination has led his feet to jumping and stumbling through all his highs and lows. As the Gospel Story has taken a hold of his heart, he’s learned to take his feet to jump in joy and to stumble into grace. It’s his delight and privilege to laugh and cry, to learn and listen, to jump and stumble with the people of Christ Our Redeemer.
Sun received his call to ministry while a student at UC San Diego, where he learned of his deep engraftment into the greater Story of God and the importance of the community of God to come around this Story. He received his M.Div at Westminster Seminary California and is an ordained minister in the PCA. He serves as the lead pastor at Christ Our Redeemer in Camarillo, CA, where he desires to show the beauty of his Savior in all the pages of Scripture. He and his wife Judy love living here in Camarillo and have set roots in the community along with their four children. They enjoy braving daily adventures together, eating yummy foods, and regularly asking for forgiveness. But most of all, they are thrilled to be a part of this unique community of beautiful people here at Christ Our Redeemer.
