Plan Your Visit

We know that visiting new churches and communities can be intimidating and overwhelming for some. Let us come alongside you to make your visit with us an honest and welcoming experience. Use these guidelines to help plan your visit with us. We’re excited to have you join us.

01 Look up directions.

We meet at 10:00am on Sundays on the campus of Rancho Campana High School. Look up directions for your visit with us:

4235 Mar Vista Rd.
Camarillo, CA 93010

03 Meet our greeters.

Our greeters will be at the entrance of the walkway to our worship hall next to the parking lot. They’ll greet you with a smile, a worship folder, and any answers to questions you might have about Sunday with us.

02 Find a parking spot.

We meet at the Commons (cafeteria) of Rancho Campana HS, which is at the back of the high school campus. If you follow our signs, you’ll be lead to a parking spot near to where our worship hall is located.

04 Find your seat.

We have classes offered for our Nursery (ages 0-4) and our Kids (K-6) during our sermon time on our second, third, and fourth Sundays of each month. Find seats for yourself, family, or group, make yourself at home, and we’ll come find you!

05 Grab some coffee or tea.

We offer snacks and beverages every Sunday. Grab a cup of water, hot tea, or coffee before you take a seat or as you chat with some of our folks in our community.

06 Open your worship folder.

In our worship folders, you’ll find some information about our church and worship service, including our order of worship for that particular Sunday. In our columns, you’ll find explanations of why we do what we do, which we hope you’ll find helpful.

Sunday FAQ’s

What are Sundays like?
Our Sunday worship services are somewhere between traditional and contemporary. They have a liturgical structure but with an informal atmosphere. Our services run about 1 hour and 20 minutes in length, and we celebrate the Lord’s Supper weekly. Expect some standing and sitting, singing and praying, Scripture reading and communion, greeting and reflecting. No church is for everyone, but here, we have an atmosphere that is accessible for many. More than anything else, our aim is to provide an atmosphere of grace and Gospel reprieve, as we come to celebrate our forgiveness in Christ.

Every First Sunday of the month, we enjoy what we refer to as covenant worship. This is where we gather together through all ages in one worship service. Our First Sundays are also when we share a community lunch together after the worship service, where we’d love for you to join us.
What are our community rhythms?
On the First Sunday of every month, we enjoy lunch fellowship after Sunday worship service. On the other Sundays of the months, we provide snacks to encourage a time of welcome and fellowship. We’d love for you to join us each week after our worship service.

We have Community Groups gather together throughout the week. Each group has its own location, day, time, and frequency of gathering. If you’re interested in joining a Community Group, click here to be directed to our Community Groups page.
What’s provided for children and students?
We love our children here at Christ Our Redeemer. They are welcome and valued both in presence and participation. Every First and Fifth Sundays of the month, we enjoy what we refer to as covenant worship. This is where we gather together through all ages in one worship service. Our First Sundays are also when we share a community lunch together after the worship service, where we’d love for you to join us.

On the other Sundays (second, third, and fourth) of the month, we offer our Nursery and Kids Ministry during the sermon time of the worship service.

We have a Nursery for those ages 0-3 and would love to serve your needs to provide for a fuller Sunday worship experience. You’ll check in your children right before the sermon and pick up your children right after the sermon. Our Nursery Team will provide a time for fun, singing, and simple lessons during the sermon time. If you have additional questions regarding our Nursery, please direct your questions here.

You’re always more than welcome to have your children stay with you throughout the entirety of the worship service. But if you’d like to have your children participate in something that’s specifically catered to children, we provide COR Kids classes for children ages 4+ during the sermon. Kids will be dismissed to class prior to the sermon and will be brought back in to join their parents after the sermon and prior to the Lord’s Supper. We currently use The Gospel Project (by Lifeway) as a curriculum to guide the lessons for our Kids Ministry. For more information about our COR Kids, please direct your questions here.

Our students (grades 6+) stay with the adults for worship service on Sundays. There are gatherings outside of Sunday worship service that are more students-focused. For more information about that, please direction your questions here
What should I wear?
On Sundays, you’ll see a variety of styles, but most people dress casually.
